[INTERNSHIP] Green Communication Officer at the Happy Chandara campus in Prek Thmey, Cambodia
The NGO Toutes à l'école, founded by journalist Tina Kieffer in 2006, provides education for 1,700 of Cambodia's most disadvantaged girls and young women from kindergarten to the end of secondary school, then accompanies and accommodates them in its two Chandara Students Homes in Phnom Penh, following them through their university studies and into their first job.
- A veritable campus, the Happy Chandara pilot school includes a kindergarten, an elementary school, a junior high school, a high school, a medical and social center and two boarding schools, catering for the most vulnerable students.
- In addition to the Khmer curriculum, established by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, pupils receive instruction in English, French and IT, as well as courses to open them up to the world.
- Every year, 100 new girls are enrolled in kindergarten.
- The girls benefit from comprehensive care (food, medical and social) for themselves and their families.
The aim of providing these pupils with a high level of education is twofold:
- to educate the mothers of tomorrow, so that they can pass on the best to their children;
- to increase the number of women in decision-making positions in the country, while developing values of tolerance and peace.

We are looking for a :
Green Communication Officer
Qualities and skills
- You're keenly interested in all environmental issues and in concrete solutions to combat climate change and promote better environmental practices.
- You're creative, you know how to edit, film and photograph, and you're very comfortable with Insta and TikTok.
- You're motivated to work with us to develop a strategy aimed at making us influential on the networks.
Missions
- For external communication of green projects developed by the campus, creation of visuals and content (Instagram reels, TikTok, original publications, YouTube videos).
- For internal communication of green projects, design meetings or small internal events to inform and raise awareness among campus staff.
- Help organize events dedicated to the environment (e.g. No Plastic Week).
Location
Prek Thmey, 13 kilometers from Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Desired duration
As soon as possible for 6 months
Housing and food provided by the NGO, $400 per month, airfare paid by the student.
Reporting to
Responsible for green projects in collaboration with the communications department.
Profile required
- Level of education required: baccalauréat + 3, + 4 or + 5.
- Excellent level of English (C1).
- Proficiency in Adobe (Premiere Pro, Photoshop), Canva.
- Interest in the non-profit sector and emerging countries, in the association's values on girls' education and commitment to the environmental cause.
- Excellent writing skills, ability to take photographs and edit and produce videos.
- In-depth knowledge of social networks.
- Open-mindedness, autonomy, initiative, rigor and organizational skills.
- Taste for teamwork, ability to listen and adapt.
