“Girls’ education in poor countries is, for me, a fundamental issue, because every girl who receives an education is a future mother who, with knowledge, will be able to pass on the best to her children. I am also convinced that women will play a key role in addressing the climate crisis, and I find it remarkable that Toutes à l’école teaches them respect for the environment and guides them toward new professions that will work to protect the planet. Let us not forget that emerging countries, as they rise out of poverty, tend to overconsume, and it is therefore crucial to raise awareness. Otherwise, large-scale overconsumption could trigger new shocks that would damage ecosystems even further and eventually strike us all.”
