Senior students from campus Happy Chandara in Cambodia took part in an educational visit dedicated to the memory of the genocide carried out under the Khmer Rouge regime.
At the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, they learned more about the reality of this period in Cambodian history. At Bophana Center, they explored the role of archives, testimonies and audiovisual resources in preserving and transmitting memory. At Choeung Ek, they paid tribute to the victims and reflected on issues of peace, justice and humanity.
This visit helps students gain a clearer understanding of their country’s history and highlights the importance of remembrance in building a more peaceful future.
