At Happy Chandara campus, the teams are getting ready for the first day of school on Monday. For this little girl, just like the 99 other kindergarten students walking through the school gates for the first time, the hope of a better life is becoming reality—for her, her mother, and her entire family.
Coming from extreme poverty, our students’ families survive on very modest incomes. Their sheet-metal homes, with no access to running water or electricity, expose them to insecurity and to weather hazards often linked to climate change.
This is where our mission takes on its full meaning: to provide quality education to underprivileged little girls, so that they may grow into free and educated women, able to pass on the best to the next generation.
