Support for displaced families – Cambodia – Toutes à l’école

The rapid deterioration of the situation at the border between Cambodia and Thailand has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their villages and seek refuge in camps.

So far, 635 schools have been forced to close, depriving thousands of children of education and increasing their vulnerability in an unstable context.

In response, Toutes à l’école mobilised to support the most affected families. Five hundred emergency relief packages were distributed in a camp located a few hundred kilometres from our Happy Chandara campus to meet essential needs: food, including five tonnes of rice, hygiene products, medicines, school supplies and soft toys for children.

The organisation will continue, in coordination with its partners and local authorities, to assess needs in the coming days and adapt its support.

Our sincere thanks go to Haudecoeur for the donation of two tonnes of rice essential to this first operation, and to our teams for preparing, transporting and distributing the relief packages.
