On Happy Chandara campus in Cambodia, lower secondary students choose to learn either Chinese or French from Grade 5. Today, more than 145 students have chosen French.
Lessons are complemented by a range of activities, including projects, conversation clubs, visits to institutions and participation in Francophone events such as the French Institute singing competition.
This learning experience encourages openness to the French language and culture, as Cambodia prepares to host the Francophonie Summit this year.
