Agroecological farm at Happy Chandara campus – Toutes à l’école

At Happy Chandara campus, agroecology is being highlighted on the occasion of Earth Day.

Despite a particularly harsh monsoon season, our agroecological farm has reached an important milestone. Since the beginning of the school year, 19 tonnes of produce have been harvested to supply our canteens, one tonne more than during the same period last year. This achievement reflects remarkable resilience and helps guarantee healthy, locally sourced food for our students, girls and young women from some of Phnom Penh’s most disadvantaged communities.

These encouraging results are the outcome of a collaboration with several committed partners, including Stop Hunger, a key contributor to the development of this project since 2016. Their strategic support helps secure our agricultural production while actively involving and training students and staff in environmental transition challenges.

An essential project serving both education and the environment.
