Toutes à l'école

Who are we

The Story of Tina Kieffer

Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire magazine, after having worked as a journalist at Cosmopolitan, founded DS magazine, and served as a television presenter on France 2 and TF1, Tina Kieffer discovered Cambodia in December 2004 during a family trip. It was while bringing clothes to an orphanage near Phnom Penh that she met a little girl named Chandara, who would later become her fifth child.

Witnessing the difficult conditions faced by underprivileged Cambodian girls, often deprived of schooling and sometimes exploited, Tina Kieffer decided in 2005 to create the Happy Chandara campus and to found the NGO Toutes à l’école, with the mission of providing disadvantaged girls with access to quality education.

After thirty years in print and broadcast media, she left the media world to dedicate herself entirely to this humanitarian mission.

Today, the Happy Chandara campus in Cambodia provides education to 1,700 girls, from kindergarten through to their first job.
