Student Dorm Supervisor
The NGO Toutes à l'école, founded by journalist Tina Kieffer in 2006, supports 1,700 disadvantage girls and young women in Cambodia in their studies. 1,300 pupils receive bilingual instruction from kindergarten to the end of secondary school on our campus “Happy Chandara” in Prek Thmey which is 13 kilometers away from Phnom Penh. Moreover, 400 post-baccalaureate students are housed and monitored in our two dorms located in the heart of the capital near the universities.
We are looking for a manager for each of these two dorms.
Under the supervision of the pedagogical manager, your mission within the dorms will be to accompany, animate and supervise the students, from the time they leave classes until the end of the evening.
Your tasks
- Create a friendly and stimulating environment in the dorms
- Monitor each student individually
- Provide psychological support if needed
- Ensure compliance with rules
- Participate in meetings and liaise with teaching teams
- Report technical malfunctions to maintain the premises
Requirements
- Experience in social work, animation, coaching or accompanying young people
- Excellent English
- Speaking Khmer is a plus
- Natural authority
- Good listening and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
