Earth Day – Happy Chandara Campus

At the Happy Chandara campus, Toutes à l’école places ecology at the heart of its educational project. Concrete initiatives are carried out to raise students’ awareness of the environment: waste sorting, composting, a ban on single-use plastic, plastic clean-ups in the village…

Since 2015, our agroecological farm has been supplying an increasing share of the fruits and vegetables served in our canteens, which prepare 2,000 meals every day for all students and staff. The farm is also an educational space, where students from kindergarten to high school take part in planting and harvesting workshops. Climate-focused classes complement these hands-on activities.

The involvement of the whole community reinforces this approach: parent–child workshops on pesticide-free food, conferences on sustainable living, socially engaged film screenings, or plastic-for-food-basket exchanges for families…

So many actions that engage our students, staff, and families — and serve as a reminder, on this Earth Day, of the importance of everyone’s contribution to protecting our planet.
