International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Students presenting science projects – Happy Chandara campus – Toutes à l’école

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Toutes à l’école reaffirmed the importance of providing young girls with access to scientific studies. At Happy Chandara campus, STEM subjects are integrated throughout the curriculum from kindergarten to high school through laboratory work, hands-on projects and participation in national and international competitions.

This year, the event brought together 65 student-led stands covering new technologies, mathematics, life and earth sciences, biology, chemistry and physics, along with a round-table discussion on the role of Cambodian women in science.

This initiative is part of the Girls and Science programme, supported by the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Foundation, and also marked the inauguration of the Happy Chandara campus FabLab, an educational space dedicated to 3D tools and digital fabrication, created with the support of the Dassault Systèmes Foundation in partnership with the École des Mines d’Alès.
