Happy Chandara Campus Inaugurates Its FabLab

Funded by the Dassault Systèmes Foundation and in collaboration with the École des Mines d’Alès, the FabLab at Happy Chandara campus in Cambodia will help our students develop their creativity, skills and scientific ambition.

However, worldwide, women remain largely underrepresented in scientific and technological fields. According to UNESCO, less than one third of researchers are women, and only 35% of students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are girls.

On our campus, we work every day to change this reality. Through our Girls and Science programme, supported by the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Foundation, we provide advanced STEM courses, encourage participation in national and international competitions and support our 1,300 students towards scientific studies, now chosen by the majority of our graduates.

As the very first FabLab established in a Cambodian school and only the fifth in the country, this innovation space will enable 3D printing of teaching materials, robotics projects, the creation of wind turbines, robotic arms, drones and laboratory equipment. A new source of pride for our campus.
