Agroecology, a global project on our campus

Agroecology on the Happy Chandara campus

Since 2015, Toutes à l’école has been developing agroecology on its Happy Chandara campus to provide students with healthier, more balanced meals.

Thanks to the work of our agronomists and gardeners, an ever-growing share of the fruits and vegetables eaten at school comes from our own production.

Each week, our canteen offers two vegetarian meals to 1,300 students and 350 staff members, totaling around 440,000 meals per year.

Every month, about 3 tons of fruits and vegetables are harvested and entirely dedicated to our students’ meals.

Beyond food self-sufficiency, our agroecological farm is also an educational space.

From kindergarten to high school, students take part in planting and harvesting workshops, developing a better understanding of sustainable agriculture and the preservation of natural resources.
