Plastic pollution is a major environmental issue in Cambodia: every year, thousands of tons of waste end up in the streets, rivers, and coastal areas, threatening biodiversity, public health, and local ecosystems.
On World Cleanup Day, our 10th grade students joined the local community, other schools in the district, and River Ocean Cleanup for a cleanup operation along the Mekong River.
Plastic bottles, packaging, cans… they collected everything they could to help preserve this natural site.
Beyond this concrete action, the day allowed them to take part in a global awareness movement and reminded everyone that every action, even small, is essential to building a more sustainable future.
