Our mission

Why girls' education?

In poor countries, when a family can send a child to school, they tend to choose the boy. From early childhood, the girl is relegated to housework or has to work to help her family.

Out of the 774 million illiterate adults in the world, 2/3 are women. The proportion of illiterate women has not changed in 20 years*.

Educating girls is one of the most important challenges of the millennium. International experts confirm this: in countries where women’s education is increasing, infant mortality and excess birth rates are falling and the spread of pandemics is under better control. An educated woman will in turn educate her own children. Finally, the level of education of girls indicates the degree of freedom and democracy of a country.
